Attention Clergy Couples who have not attended a Soderquist Retreat! The next Soderquist Center - Renew Retreat for clergy and their spouses is scheduled for July 13-15 at the Inn on Lake Granbury. The retreat is completely free. The only cost is the transportation to and from the retreat which will not be reimbursed. Many Central Texas clergy couples have been given the opportunity to attend. All have had a great experience. We cannot accept any repeat couples. This is the first time we have been given a summer date. We hope this time we will be able to accommodate the clergy couples whose spouses are teachers. If you are interested in attending this retreat, please contact the Brownwood District Office as soon as possible. Very Important - Laity Memorial Book Information - Deadline April 8 Now is the time to record the names of laity that passed away April 1, 2009 thru March 31, 2010. We will be doing this again, using the dashboard. Login to the dashboard and go to My Church’s Information. There you will see a field entitled Deaths of Honored Members and the date range for this past year. You must enter your names in that block alphabetically by last name. This is part of a very moving and meaningful service at Annual Conference. If the names are not entered into the dashboard they will not appear in the worship insert. We appreciate your time in preparing the list. Make sure to list the names in alphabetical order by last name and do not include dates. Please have the names in the dashboard no later than April 8. From Church Growth & Development: Can you give us a few minutes?

One Great Hour of Sharing - March 14 She's only 26 years old and came to me in tears. In a whisper the girl said to me, “I'm afraid. I think I have AIDS, but please do not tell my family." Angie Willicore tells this woman’s story to illustrate the terrible stigma of AIDS in Liberia. Angie is a registered nurse for Ganta UM Hospital in Liberia and head of the community-based HIV/AIDS counseling team. Gifts to One Great Hour of Sharing lay the foundation of all of UMCOR's work by covering the costs of doing business. This means all gifts designated to specific programs can go 100% to those programs because UMCOR's basic expenses are covered. Please give generously at www.umcgiving.org/OGHS.
