We switched First UMC with First Christian Church and they will be switched
back to the original positions they occupied. We also adjusted the schedule
for Jan & Feb to accommodate some other conflicts. We switched Coggin
Ave with Bangs. Coggin has asked to be removed from the rotation, so Bangs
will be next on the schedule. (See the schedule elsewhere in this newsletter.)

We have been asked to pray the following prayer every Friday at 11:00AM,
to support the upcoming 2008 General Conference of the UMC to be held in
Ft. Worth, April & May 2008.
PRAYER— O Lord God Almighty, we, members of the UMC of this
world, humbly pray for your cleansing, healing and guiding breath for all
aspects of the 2008 Gen Conf of the UMC. Guide us, we pray, as we tend
to all the details in preparation for Gen Conf; as the delegates for both
the Jurisdictional and General Conferences prepare for their arduous tasks,
deliberate on all the issues encompassed and discern your will in their
actions and votes; and Dear Lord, for every other small, medium and large
issue they may face as they proceed through their conferences.
O Lord of our Hearts, we pray that the actions of the Gen Conf itself
be an act of prayer and worship and that all attending, supporting and
praying be totally attentive to your Holy Spirit and Your desires. We pray
that through it all, we may follow the lead of
the Good Shepherd, Jesus Christ. O Father, may
we be able to let go and entrust all things to You.
O Holy One, Be Our Vision…
For the Church catholic…
For the UM Conference
For the United Methodist General Conference
We humbly pray for Your guidance, Your strength and Your wisdom!
O Almighty and glorious God, be our vision… For the World…We pray for Your
justice and Your peace through Your Amazing Grace…Help us to see what You
want us to see… Help- us to be what You want us to be…Dear Lord, permit
our breathing to lead us into a place of ever deepening faith. Let us be
awake to Your Divine indwelling where You promise, “I shall live in them
and I shall walk the corridors of their hearts.” Let this be a time of..Holy
listening…Holy conversations..and Holy Conferencing. Amen!
So if you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above,
where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things
that are above, not on things that are on earth, for you have died, and
your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life is
revealed, then you also will be revealed with him in glory. Col 3:1-4
