Bishop Lowry visits the Brownwood District on Thursday, September 16:

This Shepherd’s visit is a follow up visit from last year. Bishop Lowry plans to do some attentive listening and teaching at these meetings. All three meetings will take place at the Brownwood First United Methodist Church, 2500 11th Street, Brownwood.

Meeting Schedule:
4:00 pm – Bishop Lowry meets with the Clergy
5:30 pm – Bishop Lowry meets with the District Superintendency Committee
6:30 pm – Bishop Lowry meets with the Lay Members (Clergy – please invite your Lay Members to Annual Conference or a Key Leader from your church.)

This meeting will NOT focus on the realignment as first announced. The realignment team will visit the districts in October prior to the called session of the Annual Conference on November 13.

Youth Groups, register now for UNIFY!

A 1-day event in multiple locations throughout the CTC, designed for building leadership in our local churches. The event will begin with team-building activities and end with youth-led worship.

Prayers for Military Service Personnel

We have set up a special "Prayers for Military Personnel" page on our web site to list military service personnel that you would like be included on prayer lists of churches in the Brownwood District and on personal prayer lists. Lists of any military service personnel from the family of your church are to be sent to the District Office so that they may be included in this page. Please include name of person, town they are from, and who the person they are most related to. The Prayers for Military page is found at:
