nurse’s role including counselor, teacher, referral agent,
coordinator of volunteers, and integrator of faith and health.

the cost is usually $375 (meals and lodging not included).
A portion of the Golden Cross Offering is
used for the purpose of offering Parish Nursing scholarships to
interested churches within the Central Texas Conference, so churches may
want to include this in next year’s plans. The offering is still used
primarily to help uninsured Methodists who find themselves in Harris
Methodist Hospital. But in the spirit of preventative medicine and for
the purpose of reaching out to other parts of the Conference, the
scholarship program is also in effect.
